David Lee Roth Performing Jump - Bluegrass Style

Speaking of Van Halen... I wonder if this makes other old school Van Halen fans as uncomfortable as it makes me.

Jason,
Never was a Roth fan...but as a bluegrass fan this is very disturbing...to put it mildly.

I couldn't listen for more than a few seconds. I actually couldn't even watch...I had to scroll down. It's worse than my daughters' "dance party" cds which make the 80s sound even worse than I remember. kara

Never heard of this guy, although have heard of Van Halen -- his name only, not his work. But what was worse, I could hardly make out a single word that he was singing, so don't know what was disturbing -- perhaps that is for the best.

Aaaaggghhhh

I was such a fan of 80's heavy metal and now it's all been ruined. Please no more....

The best part of that song was the great synth intro and that inspired me to continue my piano lessons and get a cool electronic keyboard. Now it's like I've been cheated on.

who would have thought that someone who was as cool as David Lee Roth could ever become so incredibly uncool!

we all feel cheated!

i'm asking the question (of the musicians) when you get to old to be a "rocker" do you move into bluegrass where the real musicians are still able to be musicians? if that is the case, then why is roth doing this?

physical reaction: chill bumps, turning of head

good point. those dudes can definitely play.

Roth is just plain old desparate. I think of a dog who is so desparate for attention from a human being. A showman like Roth will do anything to get an applause. The tragic thing is that he has no idea how ridiculous he looks.
